You should get up at the crack of dawn, eat breakfast, and then leave for a romantic safari trip in the breathtaking wildness of the Kidepo. Drive through Kidepo’s two main biomes, from the savanna/acacia grasslands of the Narus Valley in the south to the semi-arid short grass of Kidepo Valley in the north close to the border with South Sudan, and enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the rugged horizon and savanna/acacia grasslands. The Cheetah, Stripped Hyena, Aardwolf, Bat-eared Fox, and Caracal are just a few of the rare cats that can only be seen in Kidepo National Park in Uganda.
Lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribi, and warthogs are additional species. One of the noticeable birds in this park that you cannot locate in any other park in Uganda is the ostrich. The renowned Sand River and the Kanangorok Hot Springs, both located in the Kidepo Valley to the north of the park, are not to be missed. One of the most romantic safari experiences is having a picnic lunch by the dry riverbed in Kidepo if it’s a dry day. For dinner and the night, you will return to the lodge.
